CPU: The system CPU is an Apple, Intel Macbook Pro.


This connects to the Digidesign HD cards housed in a PCI chassis in the System rack using the Express 34 (E34) card. In a tracking situation, the host CPU is performing file management on the firewire buss and screen redraws, it does not have to be the fastest machine on the planet to function properly.


An additional monitor is available to increase screen real estate if required and an external keyboard and mouse is packed should they be needed.






Drives: Recording is done on an Sonnet eSata/Firewire400 chassis in the System rack, comprising 4 x 500Gb, 7200rpm Seagate drives. This provides a maximum track count at 48kHz of 128 (32 per drive). 2 spare drives are shipped with the system.


Completed sessions can be transferred to portable firewire drives in waterproof Peli cases.
