A cut down version of the system is available if size and facilities are not important. This is called the HD4 Lite.

It comprises of the Macbook Pro for software control and a 4U rack containing:

4 x 500Gb Firewire drives

1 x SSL Delta MADI interface with SC Fibre MADI connections (No MADI BNC) for up to 64 MADI inputs

1 x PCI Chassis with the ProTools HD4 Accel cards for connection to a Digidesign desk providing up to 96 inputs on a suitable Mix Rack and Digidesign Venue or Profile Console.

NB: There is no headphone monitoring, no input other than SC fibre or direct connection to the Digidesign cards e.g. from a Mix Rack, no audio level control except from the console, no UPS
